Mohammed Abu Ghazaleh
Chairman (Chairman and CEO, Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. – Miami)
Mr Abu Ghazaleh has served as Fresh Del Monte's company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since 1996. He also serves as the Chairman of the Royal Jordanian Air Academy.
From 1997 to 2010 he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IAT. Mr Abu Ghazaleh was President and Chief Executive Officer of United Trading Company from 1986 to 1996.
Prior to that time, he was Managing Director of Metico from 1967 to 1986. He also serves on the boards of directors of Bank Misr Liban and United Cable Company, Inc.
From 2004 to March 2011, Mr Abu Ghazaleh served on the board of directors of Jordan Kuwait Bank.
CEO and Vice Chairman
A key figure in the Middle East region and founder of IGI, Wasef Jabsheh has specialised in marine and energy insurance for more than 40 years in various prominent roles with Kuwait Insurance Co and with ADNIC from the mid 1970s to the late 1980s.
In 1989, Wasef established Middle East Insurance Brokers and two years later founded International Marine & General Insurance Co. He also served as a Board Director with HCC Insurance Holdings Inc until 1997.
Khalifa Al Mulhem
Director (Chairman, National Polypropylene Company Limited – Saudi Arabia)
Mr Khalifa Al Mulhem serves as the Chairman of the National Polypropylene Company Limited and Advanced Polypropylene Company - Saudi Arabia.
In addition to this, he serves as a director of diverse companies based in Saudi Arabia and Europe.
He graduated in 1978 from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado with a
Mr Biswas has over 30 years of experience as a financial executive in the insurance industry.
As a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Mr Biswas held the position of Group Chief Financial Officer of IGI.
He also held senior management positions with the Life Insurance Corporation of India and served as assistant general manager (finance and administration) of Al Khazna Insurance Company in Abu Dhabi.
He previously worked for Price Waterhouse, where he eventually held a senior audit position.
Mr Biswas holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Advanced Accountancy.
Non-Executive Director (CEO, albawaba.com)
Mr Jabsheh is the co-founder and current chief executive officer of Al-Bawaba.Com Inc, based in Jordan, an online digital content provider and online media platform for the Arab world and greater Middle East.
He also serves as a member of the board of directors of the Royal Aero Sports Club of Jordan and as a judge on the World Super Yacht Awards panel for Boat InternationalYa.
Prior to entering the online media industry in 2000, Mr Jabsheh was a broker at Lloyd’s in London for two years, employed by Aon Group’s energy division.
Mr Jabsheh holds an Honors Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfred Laurier University.
Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Balushi
Mr Balushi is an experienced and professional banker with more than 28 years of experience in the banking industry and capital markets. He was the CEO of Ahlibank SAOG from 2007 to 2013 and was primarily responsible in converting a single product mortgage bank into a full-fledged commercial bank. During his tenure, Ahlibank won many prestigious awards including the best bank of Oman for three consecutive years by OER, the best bank in Oman 2012 by World Finance and the Bankers award 2013.
In a career which has spanned over two decades, Mr Balushi has held positions of increasing responsibility in all major areas of Banking. Abdulaziz started his career with Oman International Bank and prior to joining Ahlibank, he was Deputy CEO of National Bank of Oman. Abdulaziz holds Master of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Strathclyde (UK) and a Fellow Chartered Institute of Bankers (UK).
He has attended a host of Specialised Executive Management Development Programs at International Institutes of worldwide repute such as Strathclyde; London and INSEAD Business Schools. In November 2012, he was ranked as the "Second Best CEO in the Arab Banking World" by Forbes Magazine. Abdulaziz served in various Boards of companies across the Sultanate including ONIC Holding, Al Ahlia Insurance Company, National Life Insurance, Oman Investment & Finance Company, Gulf Hotels Co. and as Advisory Board Member in the college of Agricultural and Marine Services at Sultan Qaboos University.
He is currently the Chairman of Oman Electricity Transmission Company, a wholly government-owned entity. He is also a member "The British Scholarships of Oman", a local organisation that sponsors outstanding Omanis for post graduate studies in the UK.
Mr King currently serves as a non-executive director of IGI Holdings, he is also the Chairman of its Risk & Audit committee.
Mr King also serves as a non-executive director of IGI UK. Additionally, he serves as a member of the boards of directors of Forex Capital Markets Limited and serves as chairman of its audit committees and is a member of its remuneration committee.
From 2010 to 2012, he was the executive director of Middle East business development at China Construction Bank International. Prior to that, Mr King held the positions of director of finance & administration and chief executive officer of The London Metal Exchange from 1987 to 2001, managing director and acting chief executive of the DFSA from 2003 to 2005 and managing director of global banking in the MENA division of HSBC Bank Middle East Limited from 2005 to 2009.
Mr King is a fellow in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Cranfield University.
